The specialist consulting room Intermedic-HBO has concluded a contract on the provision of treatment services to insured persons of the Republic Fund of Health Insurance (RFZO) based on the following indications:

• Acute CO poisoning
• Sepsis
• Gas embolism
• Gas gangrene
• Crash syndrome
• Compromised transplants
• Osteomyelitis
• II and III degree burns on more than 30% of the total body surface
• Diabetic angiopathy, with Doppler-sonographic or angiographic findings confirming the existence of changes
• Non-healing wounds (IV degree ischemia, reversible changes, gangrene, ulcus cruris)

Referral for treatment with hyperbaric oxygenation is made by a selected doctor based on the opinion of three doctors of the competent tertiary level health care institution, which proposes treatment with hyperbaric oxygenation as well as the required number of treatments.

Bearing in mind that treatment with hyperbaric oxygenation is carried out according to the proposed number of treatments, if during the treatment of the insured person with hyperbaric oxygenation, the expected results are achieved and if by prolonging the treatment, i.e. the number of treatments with hyperbaric oxygenation, those results can be improved, the insured person is provided extension of treatment.

The extension of treatment is provided based on the opinion of three doctors of the tertiary level health care institution that made a proposal for treatment with hyperbaric oxygenation and the consent of the competent medical commission, which is obtained officially by the health institution where the insured person is undergoing treatment.

• Referral letter by the chosen doctor.
• The opinion of three authorized doctors of the competent tertiary health care institution.
• Evaluation of the competent medical commission if the insured person is referred outside the area of ​​the home branch.
• Doppler sonographic findings or angiographic findings for the referral diagnosis of diabetic angiopathy.
